<div>Beethoven ist nicht einfach nur ein Kater. Er ist ein treuer Begleiter, ein Seelentröster an schlechten Tagen und ein kleiner Charmeur, dem bisher noch kein Mensch widerstehen konnte. Seit Jahren ist er ein fester Teil unserer Familie – immer da, wenn man ihn braucht, mit seinem leisen Schnurren und seinem ganz eigenen, liebevollen Wesen.

<div>Vor einigen Jahren hatte Beethoven eine schwere Infektion. Leider hat diese unbemerkt seine Nieren geschädigt – heute leidet er an einer chronischen Nierenerkrankung (CKD). Trotz dieser Diagnose zeigt er jeden Tag, was für ein starker Kämpfer er ist. Selbst bei aktuell sehr hohen Nierenwerten wirkt er noch immer stabil, aufmerksam und voller Lebenswillen.

<div>Doch die Realität ist hart: Ohne eine Nierentransplantation in den USA wird Beethoven nach Einschätzung der Tierärzte maximal noch etwa drei Monate zu leben haben.

<div>Die Transplantation ist seine einzige echte Überlebenschance – und sie rettet nicht nur sein Leben. Bei diesem Verfahren wird auch die spendende Katze aus einem Tierheim übernommen, medizinisch versorgt und bekommt ein liebevolles Zuhause. Deshalb heißt diese Aktion nicht umsonst: Eine Spende, zwei Leben.
