This is about giving a baby a family and about giving an awesome little family another member of their sweet team.
Many of you know and love Nate and Tracey and Ashton Rowlan. And/or you know and love their families. If you don't know them, trust us, you'd love these guys. Nate and Tracey have been married for 16 years. On their 1st date, Tracey asked Nate how he felt about adoption- this was the question for all suitors as it was Tracey’s goal to adopt since she was 11 after visiting orphanages in Romania with her missionary parents. Tracey was thrilled at Nate's response. After years of trying to conceive, they were informed they could never have biological children. Tracey’s heart had long been groomed for what would be their path to parenthood.
After several failed and heart wrenching adoption attempts through China and the foster care system, Nate and Tracey decided to go through a local agency. Seven months later, Ashton joined “Team Rowlan." He was a heroine baby that needed extra care, operations and therapy. He was their miracle baby!
Three years later, Ashton is a healthy, happy, fast moving, fast talking 3.5 year old with a desire for a “Jesus baby brother or sister." Ashton’s understanding of adoption is that he is not a Mommy’s tummy baby, but a Jesus baby that was picked out of love to join the Rowlans after much prayer and paper work. He prays daily for Jesus to “use his big eyes to find us a baby."
Adoption is the highest of blessings, the ultimate gift of one mother to another. However, as most of you know, the cost is difficult and at times daunting. The Rowlans will have to pay $40k to be exact. The idea for a fundraiser to help with expenses was not theirs. It came to two of their friends who don't even know each other but wanted to help.
Will you join us in helping "Team Rowlan" grow and give Ashton his Jesus baby brother or sister? No amount is too small. THANK YOU!!!
