"SOS Bahamas"

Hurricane Dorian has decimated the islands of Grand Bahamas and Abaco. The islands are without power and drinking water is scarce.

Our company Cat5 Solar and Microgrids (Bahamas) Ltd., a Bahamian registered company has partnered with EHT Hybrid a Canadian public company (symbol EHT.V) to purchase and ship EHT's solar power wagons to Grand Bahama and Abaco to provide emergency power and drinking water to the islands.

Power without fuel

The solar units are an off-grid renewable solution that can be deployed easily, provided emergency power supply instantly, and have the ability to produce clean drinking water without the side effect of the waste that plastic water bottles create. They are towed behind a light motor vehicle using a tow ball.

The Power Wagon generates solar power from every side and stores it in the on-board batteries and power distribution system. The sides open upwards to triple the sky facing surface. The panels are lightweight and made of fiberglass so they are very versatile and difficult to break.

All day the wagon is continually charging and maintaining the on-board battery banks. On most days, the energy input to the battery banks will exceed demand thus leaving the power available for overnight use. When the flip up side walls are locked in the closed position all devices are safely powered in a secure trailer.

During operation, it's completely noiseless; the energy is collected from solar irradiation, so it is environmentally sustainable; it doesn't emit any smelly gas, or noise; and, most importantly it costs nothing to run.

Zero Noise

Completely silent power means longer operating hours, no expensive cabling and clearer sound.

Reduce Emissions

No harmful emissions - reduce your carbon footprint and enable flexible indoor/ outdoor operations.

Minimal Operating Costs

Zero fuel costs, zero moving parts and zero maintenance requirements.

Designed to allow for on site charging of cordless tool battery packs, operation of power washers, fans, work lights and overnight charging of electric 'lifts, the applications are limited only 'by your imagination.

The Power Wagon can power a microwave oven at lunch time or a refrigerator. A single Power Wagon can charge over 1,000 smartphones simultaneously when outfitted for emergency services applications.

3kW, 5 kW and 10kW models available including battery banks

kWh daily: 3KW model – 21.3kWh,  5kW model - 32.3kWh, 10kW model - 64.6kWh

We install a Reverse Osmosis water purification system into the 10kW power wagon to produce Fresh Drinking Water from brackish or salt water. That means there is no plastic pollution created by the millions of plastic water bottles normally left behind after an emergency, due to the total lack of planning to dispose of the waste bottles. The inside of the wagon allows the water supply hoses to be locked away inside when not in use and spare filters for the reverse osmosis plant can be stored inside the wagon.

Each power wagon contain battery banks to produce power at night and cost $15,000 for a 3kW wagon which will produce 21.3 kWh each day and $23,000 for the 5kW wagon will produce 32.3 kWh each day.
The cost of a 10kW wagon containing a reverse osmosis water plant with spare filters is $76,000. These prices have been discounted by EHT by 20% from MRP.

We have secured 5 power wagons at a cost of $83,000 which can be shipped immediately and additional wagons containing the reverse osmosis water plant can be shipped each week as funds are raised.
