"Nomad: A Venezuelan Generation Story"

Donation protected
As the eyes of the world have been on Venezuela — where Guaido and Maduro each claim to be the legitimate president— no one else is following the news as closely as the more than 3.3 million Venezuelans who have left their country in recent years. Some fled because of political persecution, others because of hunger, others, like my family, left in search of better opportunities for their kids.

I’m an independent filmmaker and producer living in Dallas. I’m working on a short documentary that features an intimate look at immigration of Venezuelans. Our goal is to raise awareness and honor the human struggle and spirit that drives many immigrants.

All proceeds will go towards making the documentary a reality. The money raised from the documentary will be donated to Venezuela.

I intend to pitch this documentary to Netflix, Participant Media or Amazon. This means the documentary needs to be of the highest quality.  Post-production coloring and sound will also play a huge part in refining the material. A good colorist will be able to match material sources and create an overall look for the film. Professional post-production sound is crucial to keeping the narrative crisp and clear while creating the right balance of music.

There is also the expenses for travel/airfare and accommodation of two crew plus myself. I intend to be traveling around Texas for interviews.
