"Learning The Bassics"

Hey, I'm Maddie Palmer, and I've recently launched my new website, "Learning The Bassics". I am a seventeen-year-old singer/songwriter, entrepreneur, and aspiring music producer. I have created this account to raise money for my site in which anyone can subscribe to for free. (I have already spent over $100 to create my site, and much more than that to begin setting up my at-home production studio.) This website is primarily a blog, a place where I share my day-to-day successes and failures, and private lesson outlines with other young artists wanting to learn more about music and how to create it. I share my experiences, music, music from other young artists who reach out, interviews with more experienced professionals in the industry, personal lesson plans, and more.

Learning music is hard, whether it be instruments, singing, songwriting, or digital production and audio engineering. However, having a support team and connections to others in the industry at various levels can in many ways be more beneficial than actual lessons, which many people can't afford anyway. Learning music should be free, and there are many ways to start even without expensive equipment and materials. However, in order to learn and then teach everything I desire to, I have quite the collection of equipment I need to start accumulating.

With a father who's been in the business for over forty years, experienced mentors who teach me about creating music, and a small at-home studio setup, I already have so much information and knowledge to pass on, but there is still so much I need to make this site reach its full potential.

My starting goal is $1,000, but the truth is, I will need a lot more than that to reach my goals with this site, and it is especially hard considering that I can't go to work right now. I am currently making money as an affiliate marketer and blogger who hosts ads, and that's literally nothing for someone who doesn't have a high viewer count yet.

Donations to "Learning The Bassics" will go to drive traffic to my site to ensure that my content reachers everyone it might benefit, towards essential studio equipment costs, site upgrades, giveaways to other young artists that can't afford the necessary equipment they need to learn, and more.

In other words, donations will benefit me on my own journey of learning to write and produce music, but also the many young artists I hope to inspire, support, and benefit in various ways. Yes, I hope to eventually make money off of this blog through advertising and digital goods so I can start saving up money for college and other things, but my main goal with this site is to create a brand that is known to educate and provide experiences and opportunities for every young artist interested.
