"I Believe Anita: Here We Go Again"
Linda Piper, writer, performance artist, scholar, and social justice activist will perform an updated showcase of her play, I Believe Anita.
The work is a revised version of her 1992 one-woman show in response to issues raised during Anita Hill testimony at the Clarence Thomas Hearing for Supreme Court Justice.
Twenty seven years later, these issues are still as relevant as they were in 1991, evidenced by the recent allegations presented by Professor Christine Blasey Ford against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The social and political challenges women face are still with us today, as revealed in the #Me Too Movement.
This campaign will raise funds for a one day, invitation only event intended to assess interest in additional development and performance of the event.
N4TH Theater / Very Special Arts New Mexico has graciously offered their space for this performance free of charge, all money raised here will be used to assist with production costs!
