"Backpack to School" Backpack Drive

Help get kids the tools they need to succeed.

We're raising money to buy backpacks to support the Metropolitan Ministries #BackpacksofHope program. All proceeds will be used to buy backpacks that will be distributed to kids in need in the Tampa Bay area.

Just a $15 donation can ensure that a child goes back to school with their very own new book bag!

That's a big deal because...

Studies show that when kids have new school supplies of their own:

-- Grades, classroom behavior, and engagement improve
-- Self-esteem increases
-- Attitudes toward school and learning strengthen

We aren't able to host our normal Backpack to School live event and Buzzed Spelling Bee this year due to COVID-19, but I still hope we can fill some bins with backpacks and help make the 2020 school year brighter for local kids.

We already have $1,300 in donations for 2020 so let's grow the pile! Another $1,000 will buy 60+ backpacks!
