I am putting this out there for, fellow Florida Air Academy Alumni, Geoff Quisenberry.
Please do not share this where Geoff can see it.
Please do not tag him in any posts.
Although Geoff would give you the shirt off his back and his family would take you in and feed you if you needed a place to crash, they would never ask for help in this time of need.
When I was a teenager at FAA, miles away from home and family, Geoff and his family took me into their home and treated me as one of their own.
27 years later, Geoff has a family of his own. An amazing wife and 3 really great kids. A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of visiting them in Florida and staying at their house. Of course Geoff wouldn't have it any other way. Before that, I hadn't seen him since the early 90's.
They brought me in and I immediately felt like no time had passed. By the way, my visit coincided with end of Cindy's pregnancy. The arrival of child number 4 came 1 week after I left.

So this is where the story should get better, unfortunately, things did not go well with the birth. Owen came into the world fine, but there were complications with Cindy. She started bleeding uncontrollably and they almost lost her. Thankfully the doctors were able to save Cindy, but she has a long road ahead. Although she does refuse to sit still, I found out that she has been out and about getting things ready for the kids to start school this week.
During Cindy's recovery, Geoff has had to stop working in order to take care of her and his family. It's amazing to see the support that this family gives each other and to witness the dedication Geoff has for them.
