Quincy House Fire Family Fund

On September 12, 2020 a family experienced an unthinkable nightmare. Around 3PM their house was caught on fire soon to be engulfed. Unsure whether or not any of their animals would make it out, it quickly turned into concern for the fire department as well. The decision was made to get the animals they could out at that time and to get out of the building. Shortly after the fire was extinguished and the firefighters were able to enter again to find the remaining animals including 3 dogs and two cats. All 5 dogs and 2 cats survived the fire.

Juliana's parents had been building their relationship since they were 12 years old, they were married for 23 years, making memories and building a family under the roof of the safe place they called home.

At 43 years young father grew very sick with liver failure and suffered with Covid-19 for 3 months before all of his organs shut down. Due to her mother having stage 3 COPD, the family had to say the goodbyes on a zoom call.

Upon the loss of her father her family did not think they could feel pain this way ever again. They have lost every memory of him including notes he had left for family members.

The family is currently staying in a hotel and in the process of trying to move the many family members and animals into Juliana’s grandmothers’ house.

I asked Juliana to do what she could to write a message for this gofundme, here’s what she wrote.

“In the past four months i have endured the loss of my father, grammy, puppy majesty, and now we've lost our home that is family owned since my family moved here from Italy. Everything is gone. Centuries worth of memories that we thought we had left after all of our loved ones passed, now burned and gone. From my leg being in the process of rehab, and my surgery, I  have not gone back to work after my dad passed. Especially due to my mom being very high risk, I can’t loose her too. I just need help.“

The family would like to thank the Quincy Fire Department and First Responders who did everything they could to save all of the animals. You did a remarkable job with the situation.

Thank you for recovering the URN of her father QFD.

Thank you for putting your lives on the line everyday to protect everyone.
