Quilt Shop
CALLING ALL QUILTERS!
My name is Deb Gray and I am starting this account for the owner of a local business that was recently destroyed by Hurricane Harvey. On August 26, 2017, the rain from Hurricane Harvey made it's way to the Houson area. Dickinson, Texas received massive flooding throughout the entire city destroying homes and businesses that had never before flooded. Dickinson was all over the news including CNN as hundreds of people were rescued by boat and helicopter.
Pinwheels and Posies was a small quilt shop located in a Dickinson shopping center built in 1974 that had never before flooded. The owner of the quilt store, Peggy Crable opened Pinwheels and Posies in 2008 and she did not have flood insurance. The shop which was a haven for many quilters, sustained severe flood damage destroying most of the inventory, equipment, fabric and displays. Pinwheels and Posies brought so much joy to quilters both locally and in other states and countries and now the shop is gone.
Please help with this fund raiser so Peggy can rebuild and re open the shop so we can once again have a place to sew, shop, take classes and just enjoy the fellowship of other quilters while keeping the craft of quilting alive!
