<div>lange Zeit war es für mich schwer, die Umstände meines Unfalls zu verstehen und zu akzeptieren. Es war ein langer, emotional herausfordernder Prozess, bis ich die Kraft gefunden habe, offen darüber zu sprechen: Mein Sturz war das Ergebnis eines Suizidversuchs.

<div>Dies öffentlich zu teilen, fällt mir nicht leicht – aber ich glaube, dass es ein wichtiger Teil des Heilungsprozesses ist. Ich kämpfe nicht nur täglich mit den körperlichen Folgen, sondern auch mit den mentalen Herausforderungen, die mit so einer Erfahrung einhergehen. Jede Unterstützung, sei es finanziell oder durch aufbauende Worte, hilft mir auf meinem Weg zurück ins Leben.

<div>Hallo, ich bin Lina Hoffmann, 19 Jahre alt und ich hatte einen schweren Genickbruch als ich aus dem zweiten Stock gefallen bin. Ich wurde direkt ins Krankenhaus Rechts der Isar gebracht und hatte eine zehnstündige Operation, wo mein Hals von vier Seiten geöffnet wurde. Dabei wurde die Wirbelsäule mit Metallstangen und Schrauben stabilisiert. Ich lag zwei Wochen im Koma und wurde über eine Woche künstlich beatmet. Als ich aufwachte, hieß es, ich habe eine Querschnittslähmung ab der Brust. Laut den Ärzten ist es ein Wunder, dass ich noch lebe.

<div>Seit zwei Monaten bin ich in Erstrehabilitation in Bad Aibling bei Rosenheim. Erst jetzt nach diesen harten Monaten bin ich in der Lage, darüber zu sprechen, was passiert ist. Es kostet mich sehr viel Überwindung, dies öffentlich zu machen. Im Moment arbeite ich daran, von meinem Tracheostoma weg zu kommen. Unter der Woche habe ich sehr viel Therapie, vor allem Physiotherapie und Ergotherapie.

<div>Zur Zeit kann ich nur meine Arme bewegen. Meine Handgelenke, meine Finger sowie alles unterhalb des Brustbeins sind völlig taub. Ich spüre gar nichts, nicht einmal Kälte oder Wärme, geschweige denn die Berührungen meiner Familie oder meiner Freunde. Ich würde so gerne einfach mal wieder nach Hause gehen, mein Kater streicheln und kochen, ein Bad nehmen und mich in mein Bett legen. Ich hab unglaublich Heimweh. Ich hatte so viele schlaflose Nächte hinter mir, dass ich kaum noch eine Träne raus bekomme.

<div>Ich werde gefüttert, angezogen, geduscht und kann nix von selber erledigen. Ich werde im Rollstuhl transportiert, um zu meiner Therapie zu kommen.

<div><strong>Jeden Tag kämpfe ich mit dem Gedanken nicht aufzugeben. Ich kann mir ein Leben im Rollstuhl absolut nicht vorstellen, deswegen werde ich mich daraus kämpfen egal wie viel Blut und Schweiß ich vergießen werde.</strong>

<div>Leider ist die gesetzliche Rehaphase irgendwann vorbei, und es könnte sein das ich im Rollstuhl entlassen werde. Dann bleibt mir nur noch eine privat bezahlte extra Therapie, um mich weiter zurück ins Leben zu kämpfen.

<div>Wie ich erfahren habe geht man auf das gesamte Leben gesehen bei einer besten medizinischen Betreuung und Ausstattung von Kosten <strong>zwischen 500.000€ und 750.000€</strong> aus (je nachdem wie die Krankheit sich entwickelt).

<div>Da ich seit dem Unfall leider Kranken Geld beziehen muss, ist so eine Therapie für mich natürlich unbezahlbar. Deshalb fange ich schon jetzt an zu sparen. Außerdem weiß ich nicht, ob ich in meiner aktuellen Wohnung bleiben kann, da sie keinen Aufzug hat. Und um in eine Wohnung im Erdgeschoss umzuziehen fehlt mir auch das Geld.

<div>Deshalb wende ich mich an euch, und bitte um eure Hilfe! Ich bin 19 Jahre alt, habe noch so viel im Leben vor. Bitte helft mir, dass ich in mein altes Leben zurückkomme.

<div>Meine Eltern sind übrigens grade dabei einen Stiftungsfond für mich zu gründen. Dieser stellt dann sicher, dass das komplette Geld<strong> nur für medizinische Zwecke und Umbauten </strong>eingesetzt wird und es ist damit noch leichter spenden zu sammeln. Der Stiftungsfond wird vom „Haus des Stiftens“ in München verwaltet und kontrolliert. Darauf soll das ganze Geld fließen.

<div>Hello, I'm Lina Hoffmann, 19 years old and I broke my neck badly when I fell from the second floor. I was taken straight to the Rechts der Isar Hospital and had a ten hour operation where my neck was opened from four sides. The spine was stabilized with metal rods and screws. I was in a coma for two weeks and on artificial respiration for over a week. When I woke up they said I had paraplegia from the chest down. According to the doctors, it's a miracle I'm still alive.

<div>I have been in initial rehabilitation in Bad Aibling near Rosenheim for two months. Only now after these tough months am I able to talk about what happened. It takes a lot of courage for me to make this public. I am currently working on getting off my tracheostomy. During the week I have a lot of therapy, mainly physiotherapy and ergotherapy therapy.

<div>Right now I can only move my arms. My wrists, my fingers and everything below the breastbone are completely numb. I don't feel anything, not even cold or warmth, let alone the touch of my family or friends. I would love to just go home, pet my cat and cook, take a bath and lie in my bed. I'm incredibly homesick. I've had so many sleepless nights that I can hardly shed a tear.

<div>I am fed, dressed, showered and can't do anything by myself. I am being transported in a wheelchair to get to my therapy.

<div>Every day I struggle with the idea of ​​not giving up. I absolutely cannot imagine life in a wheelchair so I will fight my way out no matter how much blood and sweat I spill.
</div>

<div>Unfortunately, the legal rehabilitation phase will eventually be over and I could be released in a wheelchair. Then I only have a privately paid extra therapy left to fight my way back into life. Such a private rehab (stationary) costs at least €50,000. What I heard, viewed over a lifetime, ideal medical care costs between €500,000 and €750,000 (depending on the course of the disease). Since I have unfortunately had to get „Bürgergeld“ by german state since the accident, such therapy is of course unaffordable for me. That's why I'm already starting to save. Also, I don't know if I can stay in my current apartment as it doesn't have a lift. And I don't have the money to move to an apartment on the ground floor.
