Queer-feminist film festival - Squish Rotterdam

This summer, Squish Rotterdam will set the hottest open air cinema in town.

Running every weekend of August at Het Paviljoen aan Het Water (Rotterdam south), this free festival celebrates [queer] love, bodies, relationships, sexuality and politics.

With an international programme of movies from 25 different artists, Squish selected various films of many genres sharing diverse queer-feminist perspectives and singular visual identities. Our programme is made of independent films premiering in the Netherlands for the occasion.

With this feel-good celebration moment, we want to offer visibility and support to the filmmakers and their teams. As an organization that takes art seriously and doesn't believe in free labour, we make a point in always paying artists who collaborate with us. Exceptionally, we accepted to organise an event without having all necessary funds to compensate artists, and that's where we need your help.

In order to finance the festival, we need 5359.50€, divided as such:

-1144.50€ screening fee for less than 15 minutes movies

-545.00€ screening fee for 15 to 45 minutes movies

-1090.00€ screening fee for more than 45 minutes movies

-80.00€ printed materials (posters, programmes, artists info)

-2500.00€ fee for staff & volunteers (production, curation, floor management, graphic design, promotion)

-545.00€ fee for local musicians
