Queens Opera Inaugural Season

Donation protected
We are excited to announce the inaugural season of Queens Opera Theatre, based at Flushing Town Hall.  On December 17 & 18, we will present a special holiday production of Peter Ekstrom's "The Gift of the Magi".  The classic O'Henry short story, set to music and lyrics, tells the story of the young couple living in New York City, Christmas Eve 1905, who loved each other so much that they each sold their most prized possession to buy the other a Christmas present.  Their touching gifts bring a reaffirmation of their unselfish love.  All ages welcome to celebrate this heart-warming musical holiday production, ideal for the family.

Mission Statement:

Queens Opera Theatre was founded on the following principles:

·      To provide professional high quality productions.

·      To make all performances accessible and affordable
        to all patrons.

·      To cultivate audience through outreach.

·      To advance opera knowledge and education through
        a multitude of patron experiences.

The purpose for which this corporation was formed is to educate the general public of New York on all aspects of opera through opera productions, lectures, classes, camps, social media, newsletters, etc. while emphasizing the need to make opera accessible and affordable to all people.

We are grateful for your consideration to join us on this incredible journey. With your gift, we will be one step closer to achieving great artistic heights.

Join us on the bridge to success!
