QUEENS PARK SCRUBS - scrubs for frontline workers
Donation protected
Who are we, why are we getting involved, and how can you?
We were shocked and frustrated to find out that a shortage of scrubs has left our frontline NHS workers and their families vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19, as if the risks associated with turning up to work weren’t high enough. Spending weeks in the ICU waiting room, while our Mum/Nan received treatment at the Royal Free Hospital has meant that we have seen first hand the difficulties this pandemic has brought about for our frontline NHS staff, whose amazing work is challenging enough at the best of times. The fact that our NHS heroes are being put at further unnecessary risk due to a shortage of something as basic as scrubs is a disgrace and we want to do something about it, but we need your help!
As a mum and daughter team, Linda (mum) will be putting her years of textiles experience to use, being directly involved in the making side of the scrubs production, from pattern cutting to overlocking. Phoebe (daughter) will be running the coordination side of things, organising the various different stages of production and distribution.
We are hoping to join forces with local people who share our passion for the NHS and have the skills and resources needed to help us make a difference.
Please help us provide essential scrubs for NHS workers by donating (if you can!) every contribution, no matter how small, will directly help us in our efforts to support frontline staff! If you are unable to donate, please share with your friends and family!! Stay safe and well xx
