Quavo

Quavo has been to the vet multiple times for the past month. He is a seven month old kitten who I adopted from a home in the end of September. I fell in love from the second I saw him and he became my baby from day one. I took care of all his needs and made sure he got all the vaccines he needed to be a healthy kitten. Three weeks ago he started to lick walls, floors, and any surface/object he could find. I started to get worried but assured myself that it would eventually stop. By the next week he was excessively grooming and taking all of his out and the licking began to increase. I took him to my usual vet and they assured me, he had no ticks, fleas, or ear mites, and made sure to give him a variety of preventatives fo ensure he wouldn’t get them. They told me had high anxiety and go purchase a kitty anxiety diffuser or calming objects to keep his anxiety from increasing. I bought him kitty calming gel as well as a toy to make him more comfortable, but it did not work. By the next two days he began to eat his litter. I began to worry more and more and made an appointment at another vet. I took him in and they gave him two shots - dexamethasone and depo-medrol, and told me that if he got worse to come back so they could do more tests. Shortly after, he stopped excessively grooming but yesterday evening I had to rush him to the emergency vet because he could not walk without falling down. I took him in and they told me the bill would come to over $500 to run all these tests on him, but the price would fluctuate higher and higher if they found something wrong. I unfortunately could not afford it, and decided it would be best to take him to his normal vet, as it would be cheaper but they told me the prices would be similar. He is at home but he is very immobile and struggles to walk anywhere. I took him to a priest to get blessed and I am hoping he will start to feel better.
