Please join in helping this great Marine, patriot and friend to many of us. It would be greatly appreciated. This is not coming from Gunny as he is too proud to ask for help. This comes from those of us who call him brother, family, friend and are honored to associate with him.
Story: Gysgt Scott Guise, USMC Ret., is a brother from another mother that I have known and served with for 26yrs both as active duty Marines and government contractors training US Special Forces of all branches in sunny Afghanistan. He is a man among men, a Marine’s Marine. A man with the straightest moral compass and purest ethics and patriotism of anyone I have ever known.
Upon my request he attended my Virginia Military Institute class if 1991 reunion as my guest. At a sporting clays event at Quail Ridge Sporting Clays we learned the place was for sale. He purchased the facility forthwith with the intention of running, improving, and modernizing the facility and training LE/Military/Civilians on proper firearms basic to advanced instruction.
Long story short, the local establishment and inhabitants took this opportunity of a change in ownership to block/harass and try to sabotage his ability to continue functioning an operating rifle/pistol range in conjunction with the sporting clays course with the intent of sharing his wealth of hard earned marksmanship experience with the public.
He moved his family here from Jacksonville, NC and sunk his life savings into this endeavor. I am embarrassed to say he has been blocked, harassed, and slandered at every turn from the local board of supervisors. I am disgusted that such a town as Lexington, VA with a storied heritage since the civil war with the likes of Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson, Gen George C.Marshall, Gen. Patton and many others that they see fit to stifle, delay and harass this patriot.
He is out of pocket fighting for his rights with everything on the line. His young family does not deserve this treatment after his 20 yrs of exemplary service to his country in the United States Marine Corp’s.
This Go Fund Me is purely to offset legal costs of fighting the entrenched elitist board and ungrateful local populace who owe their freedom to this man and many others. He simply fights for his right to educate others in rifle and pistol marksmanship as our fathers and their fathers before them have done in order to keep this country free from tyrants.
