Quack's Goal is Achieved!

Thanks everyone for the tremendous support for Quack!  We have met our goal!  Here is Quack's story/  Quack is a 4 year old Great Dane.  Many people know him from the stories I've posted about him.  I'd love to say he's a well behaved dog but he often gets in a little trouble.  He is a counter surfer, a trash can raider, a squirrel chaser and is just a giant goofy dog.  He has met many people at the New York Faeire Festival. He loves his humans with all his heart and he would do anything in his power to protect them.  We want to do the same for him.  Recently Quack was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.  He has a mass in his right hind leg.  Left untreated he would die in about 40 days.  If he had the leg amputated he would have about 2 to 4 months.  If he had the leg amputated and had chemo he might have 10 months to 2 years.  Recently we found out about a clinical trial that he might be eligible for that could give him 2 or even 3 years if combined with conventional treatment.  The cost of his diagnostics and surgery is about $4000-5000 and we think we can cover much of that.  The cost of his chemo and follow-up care is $5000-$10,000 and we do not think we can cover that.  We are asking Quack's friends to help us out.  If Quack ever made you smile and you can help, we appreciate anything.  If you cannot help can you share this.
