Funds for Tommy

Officer Tom Haas is a veteran officer with the Cincinnati Police Department and has spent over 28 years protecting and serving the citizens of the city. He has served the department is numerous capacities, including Honor Guard, Motor Unit and serving on the FO Lode 69 Executive Board. Tommy is a loving husband to Shelly, a father and a grandpa. 

In July 2020 Tom was diagnosed with a malignant glioma. After numerous tests and scans Tom had surgery to remove the brain tumor in September 2020. He is currently undergoing chemo and radiation treatments. Tom is on the long road to recovery, but has had a few set backs throughout the process.  This GoFundMe page is being set up for the community and his fellow first responders to help support Tom and his family with medical expenses, those than have accrued and will continue to accrue, and any future unexpected costs including travel if needed to seek additional treatments. Tom has spent a large portion of his career helping and supporting others, and now we are asking you to do the same for him. 

Tom (or Tommy as we like to call him) is a very caring and kind man, anyone that knows him will agree. I have had the pleasure to know him and Shelly for the entire time my husband has been with CPD and they have been a constant source of support/knowledge to help us get accustomed and adjusted to this life. Shelly and Tommy have helped and supported getting the FOP Family Auxiliary back up and running and creating a resource for family members of new and veteran officers within the department.
