Hello, my name is Lori Dickerson and I have started this campaign to help my children support their father who is going through a very difficult recovery. On March 16, Scott Dickerson was in the hospital and going through a medical procedure during which he had a major stroke. This stroke left him with inattention to his right side resulting in limited capabilities with his right arm and leg. His cognitive skills were also affected, these two things combined do not allow him to live on his own or be cared for by any of his family. He is currently in Harmony Assisted Living Center in Conroe, TX. He's a fighter and has made some progress, but the road to recovery will be long and we are unsure what the end result will be. Scott was 56 years old at the time of his stroke, his children are ages 30, 28 and 20. Obviously not prepared initially to take on the many responsibilities as the next of kin, but I'm so proud of their resilience and care for their Dad. All this to say, his company insurance is up at the end of July. They are exploring other benefits, but his care is going to come out of pocket and neither Scott, not the children were quite prepared for the financial burden. I'm personally asking for those who knew Scott through me and during our marriage, old work friends, old school friends, family, friends of our children, friends of mine to please help if you can. I understand this past year was so hard on so many financially. Every amount of money will be applied to his continued stay in his new home, his physical therapy and through this you will be a part of his recovery and support to Devin, Trevor and Caitlyn. He is loved by me, his kids, our daughters in law, his mother, sister, brother, niece and nephew and two grandchildren who need him to recover. Thank you for whatever you can give and if it isn't in your budget, please lift them all up in prayer. Love to each of you.
Lori
