They have been without power since September 6 and no relief is in sight. Their home suffered roof and water damage, they lost clothes and some furnishing due to the water damage.
They applied for FEMA assistance and were informed that since their combined annual income is more than $18K they do not qualify for any assistance.
Because of the situation in Puerto Rico they have lost 2 of their 4 clients and 1/2 of their income from their business.
They are lucky as they do have a generator that helps keep life tolerable.
I am asking for them (they would never ask for help for themselves) for any assistance possible.
They need funds to repair their home and replace the lost belongings along with some funds to assist with day to day challenges like gas for the generator and food. Even though their income has been cut in half they still have bills to pay and obligations to meet.
Any amount helps.
