Help Mom Make It!

I'm fundraising to pay the registration and plate fee for my Mother's car.  This car means the world to both of us. My mom is an incredibly selfless woman who has given her life to caring for everyone she's loved. This car was her first exciting and large purchase for herself in over 20 years. She bought this car with money she was left when my grandmother passed away. Before this Toyota, she was driving a car without working AC, a bent frame, major accidental damage on the driver side and had to get in and out from the passenger seat. Some reading this may think this isn't a big deal... let me explain. My mother was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and went through chemo as well as 30 brain radiation treatments in 15 days. She's declined in health since then, but constantly strives to keep herself going. She's learned to walk again 4 separate times. Been through hell and back for lack of a better description. Both of us are hopeful that she will be able to drive one day as she's desperate to become "able" to work and be as independent as possible. If anyone knows how hard it is to live on social security, you will understand that every dollar is so precious.  I shamefully have to admit that we should have seen this coming; but in hindsight it wasn't the most important emergency on our list. When she went through chemo, I lost my job. For 6 months I was unemployed and in a major mental illness crisis. Once I regained employment, it was lost again due to downsizing.  I'm not asking for a miracle but we NEED to keep her car with us. My landlord has stated that he will tow the car starting the first of November. We have such a limited amount of time to overcome this and the pandemic has left both of us in a financial strain. I'm down to the wire and asking for help. If her car is towed, we won't get it back anytime soon. A lot fee in a tow yard increases every day. We're already in the red and once that kind of fee hits, recovery isn't possible anytime soon.  I appreciate everyone for taking time to hear our story and my plea to get things in order. If we had even a small amount to help ourselves, we would. Please consider donating to my request. Every dollar helps and keeps her spirits hopeful and helps her keep her head up. Losing this car may send her so far into a decline from depression and hopelessness, I can't imagine the impact.  Thank you for your time and consideration.
