College Fund

I'm originally from Mexico. I moved to Michigan in 2015 seeking a better education and aid from my relatives here due to the fact that my family did not have sufficient resources to provide for an education of such level. I was able to enroll at St. Mary's Preparatory in Orchard Lake (with a F-1 Student  Visa) thanks to the financial help of my great aunt. Thanks to previous donations and the help of wonderful people I have been able to attend Grand Valley State University for two years now. I am currently studying Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics and have three jobs to be able to stay in college. I am a Study Abroad Peer Advisor at the Padnos International Center through which I help students find programs and funding so they can study abroad and experience the world, I'm also a tutor in C Programming and SolidWorks modelling and sketching for the Engineering Student Success Center at Grand Valley. Finally I'm finishing up my first year as a resident assistant for Grand Valley's Housing and Residence Life Department in the International House. I'm currently expected to graduate in April 2023, making this a six year commitment. I love learning, growing, and creating. Help me achieve my goal to graduate and be able to give back to society, the same way society has given to me. Thanks for accompanying me in this journey.
