My Cancer Journey:

** A Call for Support During Treatment**

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I never imagined that I would be facing the challenge of cancer, but life often takes unexpected turns. Recently, I was diagnosed with stage 3 triple negative breast cancer. This news has been overwhelming for me and my loved ones, but I am determined to fight this battle with courage and hope.

Over the past few months, I have undergone intensive chemotherapy treatments weekly to combat the cancer. These treatments are essential but come with their own set of challenges, both physically and emotionally. Each session is a step towards recovery, but it also means facing uncertainty and enduring side effects that can be debilitating. I only have two treatments left of chemotherapy thankfully, as this second half has been much worse than the first. Unfortunately, that is just the beginning of my journey. After healing from chemo, I will have surgery for a double linear mastectomy. Once I have healed from surgery I will begin radiation treatments daily for 10 weeks. I'm not going to be able to get back to work and normal life until Christmas at the very least.

Throughout this journey, the support of my family and friends has been my greatest source of strength. However, I am also reaching out to the broader community for assistance. The financial burden of cancer treatment is significant, with expenses ranging from medical bills and transportation costs to everyday living expenses that become harder to manage while I am unable to work and patiently waiting for social security to temporarily help out.
