QPOW! Queer Pride on Whidbey 2016
Queer Pride on Whidbey is a crowdfunded event organized by a group of Islanders who want to enrich the LGBTQ+ Community on Whidbey.
In August, participants, volunteers, and attendees from Clinton to Oak Harbor, as far east as Marysville, as North as Mt. Vernon, and South as Seattle enjoy the celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride in Downtown Langley, WA on beautiful Whidbey Island.
We've had many suggestions and requests on how to enhance the events of QPOW! We've come up with an entire weekend of FREE events to fund:

7:00p ~ All Ages Open Mic & Poetry Slam

Saturday, August 13
11:00a - 2:00p ~ Queer Open Space Unconference
8:00p ~ Saturday Night Soirée (For Mature Audiences)
^ Pay-what-you-can proceeds benefit Pulse Orlando families & Creating a Space for Radical Black Healing in Seattle
Sunday, August 14
11:00a - 2:00p ~ Downtown Langley Booth Fair
2:00p ~ 3rd Annual Queer Pride Parade
4:00p ~ Volunteer Appreciation Potluck - Open to the public!
Our Goal of $2130 Helps us Achieve the Following:
$100 ~ Parade Permit
$500 ~ Friday & Saturday Night Venue Rental
$600 ~ Advertising & Printing
$400 ~ Paying our Coordinators ($200/each)
$200 ~ Materials & Volunteer Water/Snacks
$200 ~ Web Hosting for 1 Year
$75 ~ Press Release
$55 ~ Covers some of the fee to GoFundMe
