My story begins when I was expecting a child with my partner and moved to Cincinnati to begin my masters program. As further as I can remember, there wasn't even one day when I was not worried about my and my baby's safety because I was being physically abused every other day. I still managed to maintain a 4.0. It got to the point where all my dreams of raising my child together with my partner got crushed, because I had to make the decision between being a single mother and giving my baby up for adoption. As an international student this decision was particularly hard for me as I did not have my family here and I did not have a job as well. I decided to raise my baby alone without any financial support from my family, and managed to finish my courses within the allotted time. As I am struggling currently to find a job, I just need some funds to help support my and my baby's food and housing.
