Battle With Bryan

Donation protected

My brother-in-law, Bryan Velasco, was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer metastasized to his liver on June 5th, 2017.  This blow came after only 2 weeks of abdominal pain and finally a visit to the urgent care.
Bryan is by far one of the healthiest in our family.  He is an early riser to get his work out in.  He eats healthy.  He does not drink or smoke.  He seizes every opportunity he can to take his family on hikes or just to get outside.
Bryan and my sister, Becky, have two small children.  River is 5 years old and Ty is 7 years old.  Bryan is the best stepfather ever to Kelsie who is 17.
Bryan is the rock of this family and the kids' protector.  Ty is autistic and the bond he has with his father is simply beautiful.
Bryan has the fight of his life ahead of him.  Our goal is to get their house in better condition so that he is comfortable.  We would also like to help him and Becky with travel expenses to MD Anderson in Houston, Tx where he will receive the best care possible.  This is not just Bryan's fight; this is our fight too.  We are determined to battle with him, doing anything in our power to obtain the positive outcome we know is possible, but we need a little help.
If you choose to help us with this fight, here is where the money will go:  connect them to city sewer to prevent the backups that have been occuring and causing constant plumbing issues, repair central a/c, purchase some kitchen cabinets, purchase a dishwasher, replace the stove so they have more than one working burner, and most importantly pay for their travel expenses to Houston.  Their house has not been their priority.  Their focus, financially and emotionally, has been on the children, especially Ty.  Our plan is to do as much of the work ourselves as possible.  We know this is a lot, but even if we can accomplish half of this- it's enough to lift his spirits.
Bryan is only 48.  He has a lot of life to live and a lot to live for.
