Hi, I’m Natasha and I will be 63 in December, and I am homeless. I moved back here two months ago after being in Tennessee for a few years. I came back here thinking, in a big tourist town, it would be easy to get a job. Maybe it is when you are thirty, not 62.

I have been staying on a friend’s couch, and her landlady said I need to go. No hard feelings against her; she is only doing her job.

Newport is very expensive to live in. My goal would be to move to a cheaper area and try to get into elderly housing. That’s a hard thing to say. I need to be realistic, though. I have health issues, and I need help.

To get any housing or anything at all, I need my birth certificate. In my move, I have lost it.

I would like to get a cheap car, and at least I could sleep in it.

I have never been so scared in my life. The idea of sleeping outside is bad enough; I have to try not to get robbed.

I am respectfully asking for help. If you can’t give, then just forward it. Maybe someone else will see it that can help.
