Sean's Medical Fund

Donation protected
I'm in a physical rehab facility in ft Collins, CO, following an emergency surgery.
While here I met my new friend Sean.
Sean is your all American Colorado guy. Loves hunting, camping, anything outdoors, and used to ride bulls.

Sean is an amputee. He his right leg was amputated above the knee after he broke his femur, and it got infected.

I am super impressed by how emotionally strong he is. I never would have guessed he had lost his leg as recently as a month ago.

Sean is also blind, due to an accident in the hospital a couple years ago. Crazy thing about that happening in Colorado, is that because of a state law, you cannot sue a state agency and they have made almost all hospitals state facilities (CO health).

As you can imagine, life changing events such as these, take a great toll, emotionally as well as financially.
In most cases of this happening to someone under 40, you aren't financially prepared for such a disaster.

Sean has just been fitted with a his first clear check socket, to prepare for his first prosthetic. Which is really exciting.

As you can imagine, these things are expensive. Sean must continue to support himself, the rehab facility costs, and now has outstanding bills that continue to add up and seem like they will never end.

When you are on your own, trying to take care of yourself and also having these burdens, things begin to seem impossible. Not everyone is in the position where there are numerous people available to help out, or that are even in the same part of the country.

I would like to help this great guy in any way I can. Unfortunately, I'm kind of in the same boat, and it limits at what I can do. Since my brain still works, this is my attempt at helping. :)

So, I'm asking anyone with the ability, Sean's family, friends, and anyone who can spare a few dollars to please help Sean during this difficult time.

I don't want him to lose everything, as he is forced to stay here, and learn how to live this new life and continue his hard road of recovery. So he gets back to ruling the world.

I have written this personally, but am setting up the page using his account, so all donations go directly to him. This is my first time doing this, and so I'm not sure how it works. If you have any suggestions, please let Sean or I know, so we can give you as much information as possible, and make this a successful attempt at helping someone who needs and deserves it.

Sean is legally bin now so connecting him on Facebook is difficult now because he can't read it. If you would like to speak to him, request his phone number and leave yours on Facebook, and I will help him check those.

Being in and from such a small town can limit those opportunities, so I hope anyone I know, understands I wouldn't have gotten behind Sean. and wanted to do this, if he wasn't the kind of guy that he is. If you haven't met him, he will make you start laughing soon after you do. He's a good guy.

This page will be updated frequently to show his progress. Sean wants to be as open as possible, showing where the money goes, as with many things, you never really know.

Thanks for reading, please check back, and leave messages of encouragement for him.
