Maya’s 1000km Run

UPDATE - WELL....WHAT CAN I SAY!! THE RESPONSE TO THIS HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC AND WE HAVE SMASHED OUR ORIGINAL TARGET!!

We are looking to raise money to help pay for Maya’s private prescription, which she’s been blocked from getting from the NHS. Only 2 children have been granted this right. 

Maya has intractable epilepsy, and has a genetic alteration KNDC3 which causes constant seizure activity. This has been detrimental in her cognitive development. 

Maya’s private prescription is currently costing around £2000 per month, which obviously puts huge financial and mental strain on the family. 

We are setting a target of £2,000 which would be for only one months medicine, but obviously we are hoping to go above and beyond this target.
