Mission trip to Costa Rica

My name is Kandi-Rae! I have been given the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica with my church family at First Baptist here in Oxford to spend the week with teenagers from mission families around the world! Kids that come from non-English speaking countries. Kids that might need a little love from someone they don't know. Kids that need someone to talk to. I will participate in worship and Bible studies with the youth and act as a chaperone during activities. I will get to hopefully develop relationships with some of these children. The minute my youth minister Jeff addressed the church about the trip I felt immediately that I am supposed to go.
Most of you know my story. I am a single Mama to 4 year old twins and I own a home-based hairbow boutique. Financially, it's not possible for me to pay for this trip by myself. However, I have so many people that love on me daily and support me in my spiritual walk! I feel strongly about mission work and having small children it hasn't worked out time wise for me to go on a mission trip. The trip is July 22-28th and I would love for my friends and family to help me accomplish this goal!
My sister has graciously allowed me to leave my babies with her during that week so childcare is marked off the list. My first goal is to raise enough money to help me pay for airfare. It's around 600$ and due in April. From there, I will have several fundraisers to help pay the remainder that will pay for lodging/food/activities.
If you can't donate, that's ok too! I covet your prayers though! Pray for me. I have never left my kids for that length of time. I have never flown in a plane that long of a time. I have never left the country. To say I'm nervous is an understatement. But I learned a long time ago, when the Lord tells you that you are supposed to do something, it's kind of miserable to ignore. Pray for the other people going--leaders, my Youth Minister and his wife, the mission children going. My prayer is that this will bring a awakening for me. That I will have amazing stories to tell about the people I meet and get to love on.
