Friendship. Harris B. McDowell IV is an exemplary friend, brother, son, citizen, server (look at the picture for proof)... And it goes on.
Late last fall 2017, I received an alarming text from Harris in the morning before work. He had pains in his legs and was facing tremendous difficulty walking to the subway, which was only a few blocks from where he lives. Harris went to the hospital that day; which began his arduous journey into endless screenings, tests, and days in the hospital. Thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, and staff who have taken care of him, who have demonstrated kindness and determination in this ordeal.
After surgery, months of chemotherapy, and just recently, another major surgery, he is still recovering. We are all blessed that Harris continues to retain humor, hunger and optimism.
Harris has always demonstrated friendship, integrity, loyalty, and a tenacious work ethic. And in this collection, I hope that we can show a fraction of the same for him. Thank you in advance for your considerations, donations, and well wishes. For his speedy recovery,
