Love for a Child Kids Camp

Dear Friends and Family,
For the past year, I have had the honor to volunteer with an amazing organization known as Love for a Child, they work with Michigan’s foster care, low income, and at-risk communities. This charity dedicates their time in areas of mentoring for children, youth, and young adults challenged by situations of abuse and neglect. For the second year in a row, I am very excited to spend another week this August at summer camp with the Love for a Child team and 40 foster care children. During this week, our 40 children will have the opportunity to let go of all the hurt they have felt and just be a kid. At camp, the kids will not only get to participate in plenty of fun activities, but will also make tons of precious memories that will last a lifetime. The activities we have planned for the week include but are not limited to climbing rock walls, roasting marshmallows, attending a carnival, having a princess tea party, and going on boat rides. From the beginning of the week to the end, it is amazing to see how much unconditional love can positively impact these children. Being at camp with these kids and our fantastic team has been such a blessing and impacted my life in ways that I never thought imaginable. This organization and the week spent at camp means the world to me and in order to make this all possible, I am asking for donations. I know that times have been difficult this year, but any donation big or small helps so much! The $400 that will be raised allows our team to provide each child with one week of opportunity to be treated like royalty, at no cost to the foster kids and their families. We want to honor each family for their hard work and bless the children with this gift. The fundraising effort is in 100% support of the children getting to attend the camp. In addition to all of this, I have attached a video and a few pictures to give you a glimpse as to what Love for a Child does and what a week at camp looks like.
