This is the GoFundMe page that has been set-up to help raise some funds to support Jordy's journey on the long road to recovery.
On November the 15th, following months of tests and feeling pretty bloody crook, Jordan was diagnosed with a Medulla blastoma brain tumour and immediately sent to St Vincents hopsital in Melbourne. Jordan underwent surgery to attempt to remove the mass and explore its aggressiveness, which for the most part was a success with surgeons able to remove most of the tumour. However, with any major surgery and especially one on the brain, Jordan has faced some massive set-backs, mostly impacting his independence where he has had to re-learn how to do most things for himself.
Although this has been an incredibly traumatic time for everyone Jordan has amazed everyone, with his cheeky wit still in tact and his 'you'll be right Ted' attitude. Safe to say the nurses and doctors have quickly come to know and love the cheeky Trouble Miller we all know and love. For now, Jordan faces months of rehab and radiation therapy to attempt to eradicate the tumour and doctors are hopefull that he will make a full recovery, but it is a tough road ahead for everyone involved with Julie-Ann, Wayne and Sharn having to uproot their lives to care for him round the clock.
Costs for rehab and general hopsital bills on top of loss of wages for having to care for Jord are some of the stresses we would like to alleviate for the family and every bit of money will go towards helping with Jord's recovery. We are welcome to suggestions for other ways in which we can fundraise and all ideas would be warmly welcomed. Any bit of help will be greatly appreciated and we look forward to seeing Jord in his fight to get back home where you'll no doubt see him around to give a familiar wave or tell you what trouble you are! :)
