Sponsor a Student

Since 2014, Cross Cultural Connect has been growing an international network of schools, bringing multicultural awareness to students worldwide. Our efforts focus on connecting low-income and public schools which otherwise wouldn’t have the resources for comprehensive language and culture education. We sponsor these schools, providing them with free or discounted curricula through contributions from our generous community of global citizens.

This October, we begin an exciting new connection between public schools in New Tripoli, Pennsylvania, and Pisac, Peru. Students will have the opportunity to engage with each other online in English and Spanish, developing skills such as effective communication and cultural awareness. Studies show that such extracurricular activities motivate students to perform better throughout their education, have positive social development, and gain interest in community involvement.

The school in Peru, I.E. Bernado Tambohuasco received government-subsidized tablets during the pandemic and is technologically ready for this programming. Cross Cultural Connect recently met with high school students from the Peruvian school who are thrilled at the idea of an international connection with students from the US. Unfortunately, the school does not have the funding to support the connection. For these students to participate, CCC has agreed to sponsor the school.

Cross Cultural Connect needs to fundraise $2,000 by October 10th to sponsor this connection. These funds will allow us to fully sponsor a group of students from Pisac, providing them with a unique opportunity to become part of a diverse world community. Donations will be used to compensate our program moderators, support curriculum implementation, and give students a complete connection experience.

If everyone in our audience base donated $3 a day for the next month, we could easily reach our goal! The generous donations of our community through the years have allowed us to carry out educational development around the world. For the price of your daily cup of coffee, you can give these students the tools they need to succeed in our collaborative world economy.
