Hello, my name is Gloria Lopez Salinas and I’m setting up a Go Fund Me Page to help my brother, Bobby Lopez, 55, who is battling serious medical issues.
This is his story…
At the age of 14, Bobby was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system which is part of the immune system. Throughout his teenage years, he bravely fought to defeat the cancer causing war on his immune system. The treatments were administered aggressively, subsequently, he won the first of many battles against this disease. He has traveled back and forth to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas for over 40 years.
The side effects of the Chemotherapy has caused serious damage to his heart. On October 27th, he was admitted into the hospital with a serious blood infection, and went into toxic shock, which caused his blood pressure to crash. Unfortunately, the leads from his pacemaker are infected and must be removed.
On Monday, November 6th, Bobby will be transferred to MD Anderson for immediate surgery. The post recovery will be lengthy and financially draining. His devoted wife, Sylvia, will be by his side, as she has been for the last 33 years.
Bobby is on TOTAL disability and Sylvia will incur substantial loss of wages while in Houston. Together they are struggling with balancing personal expenses and medical essentials, such as: Daily Parking Fees, Food, Lodging, etc.
On behalf of my family, I humbly ask for our friends and family to assist as my brother once again fights for his life. Any financial contribution will be greatly appreciated.
