Bradley Needs Surgery

52427204_1604826551537288_r.jpegBradley is an 8 year old Australian
Shepherd.  He was given a “human” name because he is every bit a part of the
family, specifically my third child.  He’s
helped support my children through
some difficult family changes, and most
recently,  Covid changes.

Recently, Bradley was diagnosed with an ACL tear in his left knee, which will
require a Tibial Plateau Leveling
Osteotomy (TPLO) surgery.  It’s been
difficult to watch him in pain, since he is a very active dog.  His photo is what he
looks like on pain medication, his eyes
tell his story.

He is scheduled for surgery just before
Thanksgiving.  The cost is staggering.  I
am waiting for bloodwork results now to see if he has a blood clotting condition
called VonWillebrands, which will cause him to bleed excessively and need blood transfusions.

Bradley’s veterinary bills have already
topped $2,000 for his x-rays,
medications, and bloodwork.  I still need a baby gate, pet steps, a surgical sleeve
so that he can’t lick his incision, and a
sling to support his back end.  We haven’t
even gotten to surgery yet, and my
budget is spent. I will be grateful this
Thanksgiving season for any donations
that will help this amazing family
member to play with his kids pain free
again!
Thank you.
