KEEP TRACY & THIREAS home & SAFE

This is the only way I know how to help my friend Tracy Rogers. I can not tell you how much this would mean to me, to her, and to her family. She is a Vermonter, a Bellows Free Academy alumni, ( where I teach). This is not someone that asks for help. So I am asking for her.  She is in a foreign country, with her 6 year old, in a abusive situation that the Greek system is not helping her in the least. On a beautiful island, with her beautiful boy she lives in constant fear of being assaulted by her son's father. She doesn't live with him, but that doesn't seem to matter. He sent her to the hospital a few weeks ago, and the courts still  supported his "rights". After this incident, she was told they had to live in the same building so he could have visiting rights.  This is only the tip of the iceberg. She wants to come home, but she has a big court fight in front of her, so legal expenses, living expenses, on top of trying to figure out how to fly home  is financially  overwhelming to say the least. She has reached out to the US Embassy, and our VT senators, but their hands are tied, due to the archaic legal system in Greece. I am honestly afraid for her safety and that of her young son. It is like a bad movie, but I know this person for real. She is an amazing person, mother,  sister, daughter & friend but is trapped in a foreign country with no support; No financial, legal, or emotional support. Luckily she is strong, but she needs our help. I want her to be able to access this money at a moment's notice, so she can leave that hell behind, as soon as she can.    No one should be in a abusive situation, but to be in a foreign country alone, has got to be unbearable.  Please share as much as possible, and anything would be greatly appreciated.
