Nicaragua Volunteer Medical Trip
My formal education to become a nurse is very quickly coming to the end. I have just two more quarters of school to go and am looking forward to beginning my new career. At the end of this summer, before my last quarter begins, I have a wonderful opportunity to go to Nicaragua with 20 of my classmates. The organization we will be with is called, Global Medical Training, an international humanitarian group. We will be part of a team providing free medical and dental care to the local communities. These free health clinics will run throughout the week and will include giving vaccinations, as well as helping to diagnose and treat the needs of the people. I am very excited about this experience as I will be able to utilize my nursing skills and make a difference in the lives of people who are without medical access. This will also give me a unique insight into a culture other than the one I have only known.
The total cost of the trip will be roughly 3,300.00 dollars.
This covers the cost of the trip as well as my plane fare and needed medical
supplies. I would truly appreciate any
help in funding that you would be able to donate at this time.
