Asher's Medical Fund

Donation protected
As many of you know and for those that don't- On 1/28/17 Tarah gave birth to a precious little boy who has been named Asher. His name means "happy" and "blessed," a perfectly chosen name for him as you can see! Due to complications related to gestational diabetes and birth trauma, in addition to being found to have portal vein thrombosis (blood clot in liver), and an enlarged aorta,  Asher has spent his whole little 3 weeks of life so far in the NICU. Although he has improved from the critical condition he was initially in, he remains in the NICU for further close monitoring and diagnostic testing. He will need followed closely in the future by many specialists- including cardiology, neurology, hematology, opthalmology, and genetics and will require additional bloodwork and testing.

This has obviously been a very difficult journey for the family, emotionally and physically, as well as financially. Tarah has not left the hospital even for a second and Scott has been staying home with Cam, traveling back and forth to the hospital to visit with Asher and so they can have at least some time together as a family. I could go into further lengthy details, but I'm sure you all can already only imagine the hardship of being in their shoes. They won't even have all the answers or final diagnoses after they leave the hospital as Asher and possibly the rest of the family (per Genetics) will need additional work-up and expenisve testing to help find the cause of his enlarged aorta, which is considered rare for a newborn.

We have created this fund as a way to help The Kolodny family with the mounting hospital bills they were not prepared to pay and, of course were not expecting, in addition to all the follow-up care and continued diagnostic work-up Asher and the family needs. We thought this may be an easy way for others to help out. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would be very helpful and immensely appreciated. Despite all he has been through, Asher keeps fighting and smiling! Let us all pray that God, the almighty physician and Father continues to keep Asher in His healing hands!
