2019 was one for the books; so busy and at times so chaotic we seldom stop to take into account the things that really matter. 2020 is now upon us and instead of resolutions, I like to try to consider how I can positively impact someone elses' life this year.

Recently, a coworker of mine, Linda Pawlak, has opened up to me about her recent struggles with cancer. Her daughter has been diagnosed with a very rare, very aggressive form of stage four breast cancer. It had come on hard and sudden leaving them a bit in shock to say the least. Since the diagnosis she has undergone the surgery to remove the tumor ending in a successful extraction; however, with it being such a rare and aggressive form she will be undergoing six months of highly intensive chemo therapy.

It has been recently confirmed that on top of her chemotherapy, she will be receiving radiation every single day for six weeks. She has begun the process and hopefully with her team of doctors they can make sure it does not form again but sadly she cannot return to work; being a single mother makes it that much more difficult and stressful. Imagine not knowing how you are going to get by and provide for your family all while being seriously ill.

Before the diagnosis she had purchased a new apartment for her and her daughter to move into just in time for Christmas. Now it is a concern as to how she is going to keep her head above water, stay strong for her daughter and for herself for the next six months while bed ridden and unable to work.

I was hoping to try to make things a little bit easier for Linda and her family in this time and to lift some of the financial burden off of their shoulders. These ladies work tirelessly at our company cleaning our offices, showrooms, lunchrooms, offering us comic relief in the stressful moments, even down to making sure our favorite mugs are washed and back on our desks by the next day. We are spoiled!
I like to think we all have someone like that in our lives. I would love nothing more than to help give back in any small way if possible and I think right now they could really use some help especially with finances.

Community has never been so important in a world where we are constantly being put against one another and divided. I am hoping enough of us can take this chance to team together and help someone genuine and good through a very difficult and trying time; someone who deserves the efforts of their community. If you could find the time to donate even a nickle, it would mean one less weight and one less worry for someone going through a difficult and scary time; that in it's own is amazing! Positively impacting someone's life is the best gift you can give.

Donations can be given through the GoFundMe website or you can donate DIRECT to Linda at [email redacted] ; she will be receiving the funds on behalf of her daughter.

Thank you for your time and consideration ♥
