Help our family say goodbye....

This is difficult for me to admit when we need help. But our family is in dire need of your help.

 

My mum was diagnosed with cancer (her2 the most aggressive type) straight after the passing of my father 15 years ago. She fought hard and survived with battle scars from her mastectomy and other surgeries to remove her lymph nodes, a surgery to remake her breast, she ensued chemotherapy and radiation. She beat it 15 years ago. She is and will always be my hero.

 

Unfortunately recently after so long being in remission, it came back. We tried to stay positive but I think deep down we all knew.

 

Mum is dying.

 

Were completely and utterly heart broken.

 

Im so sorry to those that learned of the news through this fundraiser. But there’s no time for me to be considerate of feelings. I’m focused on the welfare of my family and being together one last time.

 

The doctors said mum doesn’t have long, it’s spread to her bones.

 

So we need to be together. Mum lives in Alice Springs and her family live in Brisbane.

 

She has never met her greatgrandkids before, my grandchildren. We have tried numerous times but the moons never seemed to align. It’s now or never for us.

 

She doesn’t know we’re planning to all make it to her (including babies) and my sons don’t know I’m asking for your help.

 

They are all too stubborn to even receive any help from me. I wish I could do more. My boys have hearts of gold but I know for a fact they don’t have alot of money and not once have they complained or made an issue with the exorbitant costs of flying to Alice Springs from Brisbane, taking time off work, accomodation, and the cost of rental cars. Covid has been tough on everyone especially being two young families with a baby.

 

I have paid for my tickets there and back and have enough to chip in as much as possible, but ask graciously for your assistance to help my boys and their babies get on flights to Alice Springs from Brisbane to meet their granny Di for the first and sadly last time.

 

There is 5 of them excluding the 2 babies. All the funds will be going toward flights and a rental vehicle for our babies.

Any additional funds above these costs will all go to Mum. Her medical bills or anything she needs at this time. Because of her previous cancer she does not qualify for private health care. 

 

Im so eternally grateful for any help including just a share of this post to make this possible.

 

To my brother Eli and Turei I love you my brothers. I’m coming. To Chris, thank you for being my mums joy and laughter over the past 14 years.
