Emma’s fight against Leukemia


We were about to eat lunch when we received a call from her local doctor that Emma needed to go to the Emergency Room (ER) right away. I did not think anything about it maybe an infection, she seemed her usual self happy, playful, and loving. A baby being a baby. 

While in the ER we were told something was very wrong with Emma and she was diagnosed with high risk Acute Lymphblastic Leukemia (ALL) 3.17.18 at the age of one. That same day we were transferred to the nearest children’s hospital where Emma had a bone marrow biopsy and a parents’ worst fears were confirmed, Emma has Leukemia. 

We began the introduction to chemotherapy immediately. Emma having Down syndrome made things a bit more tricky so we were put on a clinical trail where her needs will be taken into account. It is about a two year road to recovery. 

Our little family appreciate any help we can get while we fight leukemia. Emma is a strong girl and we want to give her as much as of a fighting chance as we can, and we need your help in prayer. Any support Emma gets through Go fund me will go to her medical expenses and seeing that she doesn’t forget how to be a loving, playful, active baby that she was before her diagnosis.
