Laura Budzinski

Laura had a rare form of sarcoma cancer that developed in her heart at a very slow rate allowing it to grow undetected for possibly up to 10 years.  On January 11, 2022 she felt ill at home which necessitated a trip to the ER where the tumor was identified.  She was transferred to the Fort Worth Harris Heart Center for open heart surgery on Jan 13.   During surgery they discovered the tumor was malignant and upon removal it was clear that her heart had been significantly damaged, and the prognosis was grim.  She passed away on the morning of January 15, 2022. 

Laura was born on January 30, 1977 and married Brad (Buddy) on August 30, 2014 and they welcomed their son, Cameron, into the world in March of 2019.  Although she was taken away from us way too soon, Laura lived a great life. Her easygoing personality and kind heart made her many friends, but she always stayed true to her roots and kept close to the ones from home in Texas. She loved her family dearly and after some time living in Southern California, moved back to Texas with her husband and son to remain close to her family. Laura always believed that the best education was travel and her profession as a flight attendant allowed her to see the world; something many of us seek to achieve but only a small number us can accomplish. It was only serendipitous that she met her future husband on a flight. Laura had accomplished so much, but her greatest achievement was becoming a mother to Cameron. No amount of time together, whether short or long, is ever enough for mother and child. 

Laura is also survived by her mother, father, two sisters and a host of nieces and nephews.  Donations will be used to set up an educational fund for Cameron.
