Patrick Caprice, a well-known and respected retired NYPD Detective and officer passed away on Monday March 15. He had a long successful career as an NYPD officer and detective at 73rd Precinct and was known as a hero to many. Patrick was awarded the Medal of Honor, the Purple Heart, and the Medal of Merit for his heroic acts during his service with the NYPD. Patrick was a humble, generous, kind and strong person.
His death was very sudden and unexpected and he leaves behind two young children-a 3 year old and 4 month old-whose mother passed away giving birth. At the moment all funeral expenses have fallen on the shoulder of his eldest daughter, who is a recent graduate. We know that times are difficult for everyone currently, but we would appreciate any assistance.
