Alexander’s Journey
Donation protected
Alexander was born with a critical congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome which means the left side of his heart didn’t develop. At 3 days old Alex had his first open heart surgery, it took months for him to heal and gain weight and on the 5th of march at 4 months old he’s undergone his second heart surgery. He’s such a strong and resilient little boy.
The only doctors that could help Alex are at a Children’s Hospital in Sydney so we gave up our home in Tamworth and moved 5 hours away to Ronald McDonald House. We’ve been here for over 4 months now and with neither parent able to work, things are hard financially. We have 2 older kids and Alex is also a twin. The bills are piling up around us and we don’t know where to turn. I know everyone is struggling right now and I’ve been hesitant to ask for help but it would mean so much to us if we could focus on helping our boy heal and get strong again and getting him back home to Tamworth with our family. We will have to start new when we get back as we had to give up all our belongings and furniture when we moved here. Thank you for taking the time to read a bit about us and if you’re able to donate, thank you so much, even a dollar means so much to us and will help us bring our family home ❤️
