I can't believe this is year 8 that I am coordinating this fundraiser for Brody's Comfort Bags. 11 years ago in February, the most perfect angel was born sleeping. In his honor each year, I put together comfort bags for women admitted to Lehigh Valley at Cedar Crest for a similar situation. These bags go to women admitted with high-risk pregnancies, some kind of emergency, or with babies in the NICU. They also go to the Hackermann Patz House located on the hospital campus. These bags contain things that normally would have been packed but there was no time to. Things like toiletries, tissues, adult coloring books, snacks, hair ties, hand sanitizer, etc. These were all the things I wish I had when I had Brody. Instead of spending my time grieving my loss, I have chosen to bless other women. This would never be possible without the help of so many of you.
