Justice for Ruby

For anyone who walks their dog around the Clyde, Clyde North and Cranbourne areas please be careful of a man in a 2014 Black/Grey Jeep that was similar to a Cherokee with a number plate of ACA920 and a big black dog that was possibly a mastiff or similar.

Yesterday at around 11.45am on Hill Farm Drive in Clyde this man let his dog out of his car which then proceeded to run at us from behind and maul my King Charles Cavalier named Ruby. Ruby was in a harness and had not even locked eyes with this dog before it attacked her. My friend was also walking her Boxer X Staffy with us and once I got Ruby away the dog proceeded to attack her dog leaving several puncture wounds.

The guy did nothing except yell at my friend to let go of his dog and then got in his car with the dog and drove off. There was also a lady that came out of her house to tell me “it’s just a dog fight”.

Ruby is currently in intensive care with life threatening injuries including internal bleeding and a puncture wound to her kidney. Ruby is honestly like my little baby, she is so much more than a dog and is another member of my family.

We have already spent thousands on Ruby’s vet care and she will need further surgery to try to save her kidneys. If anyone is in a position to help, we will be eternally grateful, please help me bring my girl home.

The police have been notified but couldn’t do anything. The council will investigate tomorrow.
