6th Annual Fashion For A Cause

Tax deductible
My name is Sam with Samuel Marvin Photography and every year we host a Fashion Show to showcase the current trends and styles of the upcoming season. Each year our models get to showcase new clothes from local stores and boutiques from around the Treasure Valley. There is so much more to what we do this for than just to show off the new clothes.

This year we have chosen to raise awareness about Epilepsy and donate all of the proceeds from our fashion show to its cause. We are excited to be working with The Epilepsy Foundation of Idaho in their fight against Epilepsy.

Why epilepsy you ask? Well, it's all around us and it really is very scary. In 1980 my brother Jared decided at 6 years old (on his birthday actually) to walk 3 miles home on highway 44 to get his soccer ball. Obviously, at 6 years old he snuck out of my mom's sight and out the door and it wasn't long before a small cat caught his attention. Jared chased the cat across the highway and was hit by a car. What a birthday present. The one thing that has followed Jared around for the rest of his life is Epilepsy and it has been a very painful and trying experience for not only my brother but my whole family.

In December my wife Michelle lying beside me in bed reading through the Facebook Posts of the day gasped out loud. Of course, I asked why and she read me the story of a good friend of ours who's daughter was just diagnosed with Epilepsy.

Holly and Rob experienced the first seizure their daughter Aspen had that they knew of and had no idea what Epilepsy was. They were sitting in an airport 2,000 miles away in the middle of the night and they thought only the worst was happening.

Epilepsy is all around us and sometimes knowing the warning signs of a seizure could save a life. The more people know about Epilepsy the safer those who have it will be when we know how to help.

Our Fashion show will be held on Wednesday, May 15th at the Revolution Concert House in Garden City. Please join us in raising Awareness of Epilepsy. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased from all of our models in one of your local high schools. You can also donate here to help and any amount will help.

To show our gratitude we are going to provide a $300 Dutch Bros Card to one lucky donor. Each ticket purchased will be eligible for the Dutch Bros Card or for every $10 donated on our Gofundme.

Thank you all for your help and support.
