Medical Expense's

Todd was admitted into the hospital on July 19th with Covid. Our local hospital could not treat him due to them not having a ICU so he had to be life flighted to Wichita Kansas (Wesley Medical Center), at the time their was no beds available in Missouri. He was intubated, sedated and put on a ventilator on July 22nd. He was in a sleep stated coma for three weeks until they decided to trach and put a peg tub in his abdomen on August 17th, then they were able to wean him off the sedation so he could wake up. He had to have a surgery on August 24th due to having his colon nicked from putting the peg tube in. They gradually was able to wean him off the vent and off of oxygen all together before leaving the hospital on September 9th. Their were no beds available at any rehab facility so he just came straight home and finally after two weeks being home started in home care and in home physical therapy. He did come home with the peg tube still in until they made sure he didn't need it again, since then it has been removed. He is the only income in our family and since he works for himself he does not have insurance. I am very thankful for the outcome but now we have medical bills piling up. He still has a long road of recover ahead of him. We appreciated the prayers and the well wishes.
