<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>„Yesterday’s News“</strong> schafft diese Gelegenheit: ruhig, respektvoll, ohne Anklage. Wir laden zum geschützten Nachdenken ein.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>“Yesterday’s News”</strong> is an interdisciplinary art project about queer life at a time when nationalist and populist thinking is on the rise. Such mindsets split the world into black and white. They fracture communities and—often unnoticed—give people a sense of license to act selfishly and inhumanely. We counter this with a different picture: attentive, respectful, dialog-oriented, and steadfast.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We deliberately focus on the queer community—not because it “only” concerns itself, but because its experiences build bridges that carry over to other minorities. When we understand how exclusion works, we better understand how belonging is created.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The project is international in scope, with a focus on Colombia and Germany. Through exchanges on history, culture, religion, and social questions, we aim to help restore ethical and human principles as the basis of political decision-making. Freedom, protection, and participation are not side issues; they are the core of a democratic society.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Nationalist and populist thinking grows where people reflect too little on the causes and consequences of their own stance—or never get the chance to do so.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>“Yesterday’s News”</strong> creates that chance: calm, respectful, without accusation. We invite reflection in a safeguarded space.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Aesthetically, the project is gentle and direct at once: unvarnished, emotional, resolute in the sense of clarity and steadiness—never wounding. The formats are accessible and diverse—photography, painting, video, poetry, dance/movement, and hand-painted clothing. A research-informed working method with guiding questions and theses provides a clear through-line. This makes outcomes traceable, verifiable, and usable for conversation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In short: <strong>“Yesterday’s News”</strong> is an invitation to hold complexity and make humanity the measure. It protects nuance, strengthens empathy, and opens spaces in which understanding can grow—beyond the queer community and into society as a whole.
